The Blow Up cultural association of Grottammare, with infinite pleasure and renewed enthusiasm, after a hard work of contacts that lasted all summer and began in spring, presents the XXIII season, in line with its history and the passions, research, workshops and educational activities and cultural and social animation of all of us who work there, which has planned for the 2017-2018 social year, a series of initiatives that, in addition to cinema (many films and many meetings with insiders from the seventh art) aim to promote and share our love of literature (meetings with writers, recitals and literary dinners), philosophy (meetings on the dynamics of exchange between cinema and philosophy), music (concerts and creative themed screenings), theatre (a school and a cycle of performances and recitals), dance-theatre (a workshop and a performance with a photo exhibition on the theme of equal opportunities inspired by the book 'Women running with wolves') art (a lectio magistralis on the Russian avant-garde a hundred years after the October Revolution, the \"Crivelli case\" and practical-creative workshops in the Library), good food and wine (literary dinners and food and wine tastings), time and energy, under the banner of free thought and its contradictions. There are dozens of appointments, spread from September to July, including those of the 23rd season and the collateral ones organised by us in collaboration with the Department for Training and Talents and the Informagiovani in Rete of Grottammare and Cupra Marittima. We have always been free and open to everything, like children and adolescents who act on their own, following rules sometimes contrary to the adults' idea of normality and common sense, simply following the impulse to proceed in the opposite direction to that required by the social context, reminding us of the importance of putting ourselves back into play and seeking new paths, just like the films of \"L'infanzia, et\u00e0 dell'incontrario\" (Childhood, age of the opposite) starting with the linguistic licence we have granted ourselves with that \"dell'incontrario\" (of the opposite). To inspire us once again is the genius of Paul Arden, the great British Creative Director, who with one of his most successful slogans, WHATEVER YOU THINK THINKS THE CONTRARY, invites us not to have certainties, not to think from the side, to always relativise, to be our own fiercest critics, to read all defeats as victories and vice versa, to always put ourselves in the shoes of others, to think that everyone has their own reasons and that therefore everyone is right and no one is wrong and vice versa, that the most wrong decisions are often the most right ones because in every end there is a beginning and that there are no right points of view. George Bernard Shaw said: 'The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable man adapts the world to himself. All progress depends on the unreasonable man'. We must aim higher and higher, always taking responsibility, making good use of our ego, giving up the idea of repressing it or losing it, because it is there, it will have been given to us for some reason...So, here we are, once again this year in the field to conquer the useless, sharing the beauty that will save the world by thinking the opposite, with wonder and desire in the double glance between great uncertainties and raw rubble that turns into raw materials... A season that constitutes a single body, at the same time articulated and homogeneous but also enjoyable by sections, by themes or by individual initiatives, which certainly does not preclude the public from being able to choose through the differentiation of the cultural offerings, while at the same time drawing attention to the various red threads that connect certain initiatives among them. All events, except for the literary dinners, theatre recitals, theatre school and workshops, are free of charge once the F.I.C. 2017-2018 membership card, issued and stamped by the Blow Up cultural association, has been purchased for \u20ac10. The cards can be made quickly at the entrance to each initiative of the season and at any other Blow Up collateral initiative. \"Whatever you think, think the opposite' is also about being able to do culture in the way we at Blow Up understand it, possibly without sensationalism, free from the logic dictated by TV, capillary in the territory, concrete, daily, enhancing people's talents and potential, creating social aggregation, developing civic sense. In spite of everything, however, our strength is, and remains, your physical presence at our initiatives, word of mouth, being followed on the web (Facebook page and website), the messages and requests for collaboration that we receive and forward, and which year after year increase and improve our contacts.
