Grottammare: first chess course for adults and children kicks off.

Three free introductory classes with FSI instructors to learn one of the world's most formative strategy games.

Beginning next Thursday, Jan. 19, is the first of three introductory lessons in the game of chess sponsored by the Education and Talent Department, with the collaboration of the Offida Chess Club.

The initiative is open to adults and children and includes two rounds of classes, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and from 4:30 to 6 p.m., which will be held in the City Hall's Hall of Representation on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Free the first module consisting of 3 lessons: it will serve to introduce participants to the world of chess, through knowledge of the pieces, their movement and value, their nomenclature and chess notation. The next module consists of 7 lessons, at a cost of 35 euros per person, which will lead enthusiasts in the in-depth study of more complex aspects, such as game strategies.

The courses will be taught by two instructors from the Italian Chess Federation.
